The colours الألوان

In the Arabic language, there are masculine , feminine and plural for the main colours

Red أحْمَر Ahmar ( m)

حَمْرا Hamra (f )

حُمْر Homer (pl)

White أبْيَض Abyad ( m)

بَيضا Baydaa (f)

بِيض Byeed (pl )

Black اسوِد Eswed (m )

سُودا Swodaa (f )

سُود Sood ( pl )

Yellow أصْفَر Asfar (m )

صَفْرا Safraa (f)

صُفْر Sofer ( pl )

Blue أزْرَق Azra’ (m )

زَرْقا Zare’a (f)

زُرْق zora’ ( pl)

Green أخْضَر Akhdar (m)

خَضْرا Khadraa (f )

خُضر Khodr ( pl )

Now, Read the following sentences :

-This is a blue pen. دا قَلم أزْرَق Da alam azra’

-The car is black. العَرَبَيَّة سودا Elarabayyaa Swodaa

-The flower is red الوَردة حَمْرا Elwarda hamra

-The banana is yellow الموز أصْفر Elmooz asfar

-Her cheeks are red خُدودها حُمْر Khododha homer

-My hair is black شعري اسوِد shaari eswed

-I want a white bag. أنا عايزة شَنْطة بيضا ana ayzah shantah baydaa
